DECEMBER 2023

Reflections from We Are Mobilise and You Matter

Throughout the year, the two charities who received 12 months’ one-off funding from the first PNI Group wide Step Challenge event held in 2022, have been busy helping those in need.

We Are Mobilise

We Are Mobilise provides recognition and functional care to the homeless, combined with education and awareness raising across broader society. They offer a positive and trusted platform that creates change through meaningful community connection.

“We Are Mobilise are incredibly grateful for the generous support of our mission to develop innovative solutions for people experiencing homelessness. The funds provided by the Challenge enabled us to launch our inaugural direct giving program, Mobilise Matched. Consisting of an employment and wellbeing pathway, Mobilise Matched will see participant intake and wraparound case management. Our employment partners will contribute training and employment opportunities. Our direct giving pillar is focused on developing programs that put funding directly into the hands of people who need it and allow them the agency to meet their needs as they see fit.” – Noah Yang, We Are Mobilise CEO and Founder

You Matter

Ongoing support is critical for women and their children escaping family violence. Once women have managed to secure scarce permanent accommodation, they still need to source all their furniture and goods – often owning little more than the clothes on their back. This is where Victorian based You Matter steps in – providing essential items to turn an empty home into a haven for recovery. With the Foundation’s support You Matter has created over 30 fully-equipped, functional and comfortable “Havens of Hope,” to help empower women to re-establish stability, dignity, independence and community connections.

“Since You Matter received funding support of $25,000 from the Pinnacle Charitable Foundation we have created 35 Havens in Victoria, benefitting 35 women and 41 children. We look forward to being able to achieve even greater beneficial outcomes for those women and children fleeing family violence who are receiving our service.” – Maxine Gross, You Matter Founder
